Barak Hirschowitz, President of the International Luxury hotel Association just returned from a 7 day trade mission to China where he met with the both government and business leaders in Guilin, Wuzhou and Hainan.
During the trip Barak participated in several highlevel conferences and workshops focusing on the multi billion dollar investments in wellness travel and medical tourism. The ILHA team who was attending the trade mission with close partners, World Medical Tourism Association had the opportunity to visit several of the upcoming medical and wellness tourism cities being developed in Hainan, Guilin and Wuzhou with construction underway for several major hospitals along with plans for luxury hotels and resorts with a focus on wellness and guest recuperation.
The ILHA team also had the opportunity to visit the Guilin Technical University which has an impressive hospitality training program that is under the guidance of Lausanne who were in attendance during our visit.
Barak Hirschowitz presented on behalf of the ILHA at the WMTC Asia events held in Guilin, Wuzhou, and Hainan.
The ILHA looks forward to working with the regional governments and business leaders and investors in Guilin, Hainan and Wuzhou to provide strategic insight and training on these exciting wellness travel projects being developed in China’s southern region.
